There’s a section of Herring Cove Beach known locally as “Girl Beach”—and that’s where you’ll find us!
Come for an hour or spend the entire day relaxing, swimming, and filling the beach with us!
Please bring your own food, water, beverages, and anything else you’ll need for the day, as food and drinks are no longer available for purchase at the beach. Restrooms available.
12PM: SPLASH DANCE FLASH MOB
Meet us near the water at noon for an easy-to-join celebration of QUEER JOY—on the sand or in the water! Every body, size, shape, and ability is enthusiastically welcome.
We’ll bring the music and simple choreography. You bring your fabulous self!
Optional: Rock accessories in red, pink, purple, lavender, silver, or anything sparkly. Think swimwear, pasties, hats, sunglasses, jewelry, body paint, bubbles, and more!
BEACH ENTRANCE FEES
The daily entrance fee is $25 per private vehicle, covering the driver and all passengers. The fee for visitors entering on foot or by bicycle is $15 per person age 16 or older. Cape Cod National Seashore is cashless, so bring a credit or debit card.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents age 62 or older may purchase a $20 America the Beautiful Senior Annual Pass, valid at more than 1,000 participating federal recreation sites. A lifetime Senior Pass is also available for $80.
GETTING THERE BY CAR OR BIKE
Take Route 6 East and follow the signs to Herring Cove Beach.
Pass through the ranger entrance, turn LEFT, and continue to the far end of the parking lot.
Look for the Girl Splash signs and take the blue walkway to the beach.
GETTING THERE BY SHUTTLE
The free CCRTA Provincetown Beach Shuttle travels from MacMillan Pier to Herring Cove Beach seven days a week during the summer.
You may board at MacMillan Pier or at a designated stop along the route. Riders may also flag down the shuttle anywhere along the route where it is safe for the driver to stop.
Please check the current CCRTA schedule before heading to the beach.
Passengers may board the Shuttle at any of the scheduled bus stops or they may flag the bus down anywhere along the bus route!
