Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS) Collective, Inc.
The Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS) Collective provides community and cultivates resources for lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer (LBTQ) identified women of color and our allies. We do this through advocacy, education, programming, and counseling. Additionally, the LOCS Collective hosts an annual conference that celebrates and unites our diverse sisterhood.
The LOCS Collective, Inc. in partnership with The Boundless Series at Fenway Health presents the video premiere of Visible Voices. Visible Voices documents 10 LBTQ women of color sharing their unique experiences in their own words to strengthen, empower, and amplify our community’s voices. Their stories were captured at the 3rd Annual Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS) at Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA on March 1, 2014.

Wanna school someone in spades? Have some secret card handling you can't wait to bust out? Have a certain way that you were raised to play where you grew up and need to teach someone? Whether a participant or spectator-there's fun & laughter shared by all as we build community over some good, old fashioned game playing in the Provincetown sunshine.
1-2PM: RELATIONSHIP WORKSHOP
Hook-up Culture: Defining Boundaries and Increasing Safety:
This workshop is for members of LGBQ/T communities and allies to talk about the dynamics of hooking up. The workshop will facilitate activities about the ways that communities define hooking up and ways of recognizing your boundaries during hook-ups. In addition, the workshop will talk about tools for increasing safety and access to supports if a hook-up felt unsafe.
Vilma Uribe Coordinator for Community Engagement and Outreach @ The Violence Recovery Program at Fenway Health
Vilma has been working with the LGBQ/T community for 7 years in various capacities. Currently she is working at the Violence Recovery Program at Fenway Health, which supports LGBQ/T people affected by partner abuse/domestic violence, sexual violence, bias/hate crimes, and police misconduct. She supports people one-on-one and also does workshops in community about hooking up, partner abuse, sexual violence, and bias/hate crimes
2-3PM: WRITING WORKSHOP:
Be Heard. Be Seen. Be Spoken.
Jha D is the founder and co-host of the "if you can Feel it, you can Speak it" Open Mic. She has been writing and performing spoken word poetry for over the past 10 years, and is eager to share her experiences with others. During her workshop she is going to ask attendees to explore concepts such as "stage presence", "body language" and "voice projection" while also completing fundamental writing exercises. The goal of the workshop will be to encourage attendees to bring their confidence to stage and "own" the mic. All levels of experience are welcomed to attend!

WOC weekend is proud to announce Nikki Carr and her lovely fiancée, comedienne big Frannie Mei. Together they equal non stop laughter! Nikki Carr a long time favorite, is best known for her appearances on BET's Comic View, One Mic Stand with Kevin Hart, Martin Lawrence's First Amendment Stand Up, and Showtime's Stand Up for Family just to name a few. Big Frannie Mei, with a decade of making people laugh under her belt, has been a PTown favorite for years, having been the host comedienne for Blakout weekend year after year. Join us!

Lezberados is a fierce and funny, hot and spicy, side-splitting comedy show featuring two of the hottest dykes working the standup circuit. From Showtime's The Latin Divas of Comedy, Sandra Valls shows why she was voted one of Curve magazine's Top 10 lesbian comics. She is joined by her radically ridiculous sister from a different mister, Mimi Gonzalez. Both are Olivia cruise stars with sold-out shows from Provincetown to LA. Come out and get your laugh on and find out why these two are the taco the town.
The evening starts with singer-songwriter, Crys Matthews who has shared the stage with the likes of Indigo Girls and Dar Williams. Curve magazine reports that Crys "sounds like how a glass of iced tea tastes: familiar, comfortable and refreshing... telling simultaneously intimate and relatable stories… with her own unique brand of R&B folk."
